Nirmala Convent School, Siliguri came into being on the 20th June 1994 in answer to the felt need of having girl's school in the town. The school had a modest beginning with classes Nursery to I.
Nirmala Convent School, Siliguri is run by Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate (Nirmala Sisters) belonging to Siliguri Nirmala Vikas Samiti, a registered society under the Society Registration Act 1961.
Nirmala Schools have been eastablished and managed by the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate which has his headquarters in Rome, italy.
Nirmala Schools are intended to impart Primary and Secondary Education in a Christian atmosphere primarily for the benefit of Catholic Girls and Boys. They also admit other children regardless of Religion, Caste, Class and Creed.
The School emblem consist of a ship sailing from West to East and a bright star guiding it in the dangerous deep blue ocean, with the school moto-Truth, Love and Service.
The ship in the dangerous ocean is the symbol of human life tirelessly struggling hard to reach the safe shore of life. In the same way every child who comes to the Institution is reminded to work hard during her education and attain a safer position in life.
